65 Buick Electra 225 4 door with a 445 Wildcat motor. Back seat was the size of a twin bed, my girlfriend's dad hated that car! Bought it for $250, sold it for $500.

1960 Chevy Corvair. Bought it for 200 bucks. It used almost as much oil as gas.

59 Ford Fairlane station wagon. I was a college student 300 miles from home. I made regular trips home and always had 5 riders to pay for the gas. One time this good looking but very quiet girl heard there was a car going her way and hooked a ride. 3 years later I married her. We were married 33 years before the C got her.

In 1963 following hs graduation, I purchased a 1960 Hillman Minx convertible, green with a tan top 4 cyl , 4 on the floor.

It was as new when I bought, it wasn’t when my father had it towed away.

I learned to drive on my friend's 1969 Dodge Coronet, but my first car was a 1975 Gran Torino (not red with a white nike swoop, alas). It was actually my mom's car, but I considered it mine. That lasted a year and then I bought my a 1979 Mercury Zephyr from my dad's company. The Zephyr lasted me 10 years and was the most basic, underpowered, poorly made pile of crap that America could produce in the late 1970s. A 3.3 liter inline 6 with a single barrel carb and under 90 hp, and I still figured out a way to get in lots of trouble.
