I gather that the recovered funds ...came from bad guys....but not necessarily the guys that actually got paid with the power company's funds

Blockchain is nothing more than a code. Governments have been writing and breaking codes for a long time. Thinking that the code is unbreakable is folly.

And you won’t, because the current story being promoted is that the FBI jumped in to hack part of the ransom back from the careless hackers, as opposed to the FBI being on the receiving end of the payment in the first place.

The issue hasn't been settled if the hackers are still alive.

So really this wasn't about Bitcoin being hacked it was more about the FBI following the money trail and the FBI lying their asses off and making it look like they did something they really did not do.
