But enjoyable nonetheless!

I was making cases for the 6x45mm. smile Earlier, I had shot some 6x45mm loads over the chrono, but as the day got hotter and stickier, I thought it was a good time to have some fun before going home.

The Rifle - Rem 700 SPS
The bullet - 66 grain home made, using J4 jackets
Powders - various
Win primers
5 shot groups

How was your day?

Here is a 69 gr Sierra MK beside my 66 grain FB.

2nd Place - AR Comp - which means more tests and chronographing.

(A Distant) 3rd Place - IMR 4895 - no more tests or chrono

Muggy? IRC, your little Ontarian peninsula dips further south than where I live in Iowa. Don’t ask about the weather here? Thanks. πŸ™‚

πŸ˜„ Okay George.

If you find a place called Orillia on the map, I am not far from there. Orillia was the birthplace of Gordon Lightfoot.

I don't know if I am still north of you. ☺ Cheers.

Ah, thought you were a touch south of there, so you are north but not by much. Looks as cultivated as Iowa but you have a lake and there are more trees. πŸ™‚

Interesting handload project and the 303 Epps is too.

Yes. Lake Couchiching is a tourist draw winter and summer. Lots of fishing derbies, boating and swimming in the summer. Ice fishing and skidooing in the winter.

Ha, ha! laugh My wife's family is from Sudbury. This was very popular years ago. It's still popular around Christmas. Check the story under the video.

That's a keeper! I grew up with the stompin tom snowmobile song. Sitting in a clubhouse at young age listening to dad & all his pissed up buddies brag about their latest machines through a blue haze of players. Sitting trackside in Beausejours smelling the blendsol. Great old days on car hoods behind 1970 jag smashing into frozen drifts until belt blew or someone's face was lacerated from Ford hood. Anyway loaded a few 69g scenars with cfe223 & varget over the weekend. Wk180 liked em just fine but buddies howa 1500 is a picky bugger.
