I mounted a Leupold Scout on my lever XS mount with Warne Maxima fixed and torqued to spec (25in/lb on bottoms, then 25in/lb tops) and the scope slides on the rail. Took them off and cleaned the threads well then mounted again and same thing. Anyone have this happen to them and the resolution?

Did the cross lugs fall out? No, they just slide the little bit from front to back of the slots they are mounted in.

Any chance they are for a different rail? Like Ruger or Tikka?

Maybe the piece that clamps On the rail is upside down.

That's pretty unusual. I'd reach out to Warne and see what they have to say.
There are 2 rules to success:
1. Never tell everything that you know.

I've never had a problem like this with Warnes. Take the cross lugs out and then see if the rings will tighten down on the rail at 25 in/lbs. If they do, a cross lug may not be seating properly or may be out of spec. Check to make sure there's nothing in the cross lug slots in the rings that may be preventing proper seating. The 200M non-QD lug cross lug itself should be symmetrical so try seating the lug "upside down" (notch down) and see how that does. QD cross lugs are not symmetrical.

Well, I tried flipping the cross lug and other spots on my rail and no go...Tried them on some other rails and AR uppers and they worked on everything else. They just do not like my XS LeverScout rail, they slide back and forth within the slot they are mounted in. Had a pair of leupold rifleman rings in the parts bin and they worked just fine on the lever scout. I'll just use the warnes on another project sometime.

Did you try taking the cross lugs out completely and seeing if the rings will tighten to the rail? If they will, you can always file a bit off the cross lug Vs to bring the width down some.

Yes, the rings were coming together on the bottom edge of the "circle" and pivoting when the tops were torqued. so it would grip before the tops were tightened and then just loosen when you tightened the tops. I think the XS lever scout mount must be a little thin.

One last question: once you torqued the bottom screws to 25 inch pounds, then the top screw to 25 inch pounds, did you try and re-torque the bottom screws to 25 inch pounds again?
This is an interesting conundrum as I use Warne rings exclusively except for a couple of sets of Talleys I have on some Browning BLRs. I've got an unused set of 200M right here in my hand and I am trying to figure out how this could occur. I've never run into this problem myself. But I used Warne bases with my rings.
I think you are onto something by saying the rail you're using may be a little thin. I think Warne bases are a little thicker than typical Weaver or Picatinny rails.

I did try to re-torque, and I used a sturtevant torque screwdriver and double checked with my automotive 1/4” torque wrench. I will mic the rail this evening and see what is comes out to vs some other rails I have.

So the XS Lever Scout rail is made like some of the 'ultralight' rails where the center of the top is dished down a little. the readings I got amongst all the rails I had (just ar uppers and a rail on one of my savage rifles) were 2-3 thousandths thicker than the XS lever, but the width measured the same the warnes just didn't like it. I probably could have done some whittling on the rings, or some (cough cough) electrical tape on the mount, but I will just use the other rings on that mount and use the Warnes on another rifle.

Sounds about right. All the Warne rings I have are attached to Warne bases. Those bases seem thicker than any Weavers I've ever had, though I've never done any measuring.
