I forgot about that one. This one looks like a standard SPS. Mine was a 12. It was incredibly accurate with bullets up to 55 grains. Accuracy tailed off with bullets in the 60g range.

I have a Remington 700 ADL in .223 sporter barrel. It's a 1:12 twist? I have a bunch of 55 gr. bullets loaded up for my AR. What bullet weights stabilize best in the 1:12 twist?

Try this: https://www.jbmballistics.com Plug the numbers for various bullets into the bullet stability formula.

Was thinking about a 1-8” .223, until I realized that if I got one, the 7” boys would make fun of me.
Never ceases to amaze and amuse me that so many enthusiasts of one segment of the shooting sports simply refuse to accept that others are well-served and satisfied using equipment that doesn’t measure up in some way or other for the uses THEY have. Almost as strange as those who take actual offense when something new and improved comes out that is better in some way that their particular pet, rather than welcome the advance.
What fresh Hell is this?

Well, I picked up Remington725’s 1:9 twist rifle. I’ll test it.
