We only have three neighbors - a bit distant. All three have been dealing with bats getting under eaves, etc. We have none - must know that I don't want them, or that I have a good pellet gun.
Toured the Arizona State Lab. They had a bat display of all the varieties of AZ bats. According to the display, 97% of the bays in AZ had rabies.
Was fly fishing up in the Rim at Bear Canyon Lake, bats were chasing my fly.
When we were kids we’d get out in the street and toss pea gravel up for bats to catch. You could tell when they caught one because it would take a while for them to drop it.

That being said, I once caught a bat while fly fishing in the evening with a dry fly on my back cast. 🤠

Have a couple bats every afternoon flying around eating mosquito's & such. See em every afternoon when taking the dog for the last walk of the evening.
