Have decided to let go of my custom 6.5-06 that MNR built for me. It’s probably one of the nicest custom synthetic stocked rifles that I currently own.
There was extensive work done to the metal, action & mcmillan edge stock. Trigger is set at a flawless 2-3/4 lbs. test loads produced groups under 1/2” MOA with H4831SC and 140ABs.
Round count is under 20. Weighs 8.3lbs with scope. I’m asking $3650 shipped for this rifle without scope.
Hart #2 24”
Williams BM
McMillan Edge Stock LOP 13-1/2”
Barrel Band
Cerekote - midnight blue
Custom rear swivel
Checkered bolt knob, jeweled bolt
Feeds like glass, shoots like a dream.

Thank you. I’m happy to provide WIP photos, but MNR is a guild member and knows his model 70s!

Just curious, but why a barrel band for the front swivel stud?

It’s much easier to carry with the barrel band vs front swivel. Also, it gives the rifle a classic custom look. Rings will also go with the rifle, they are cerekoted to match. I’ve also got brass, dies and some loaded ammo I can make a deal on.

FYI you can't sell handloaded ammo. I believe that you can give it away, but not sell it. You need a manufacturer's license to sell it. Also other sites akin to this one don't allow it to be listed for sale.

Just offering some friendly advice.

FYI here is the policy from one site.

https://forum.accurateshooter.com/threads/sale-of-hand-loaded-ammo-is-forbidden.3839693/

There is liability on the part of the seller and possibly liability to the owner of this site. How hard is it to say that you are giving it away and just compensate by adjusting the prices of the other items?

I happen to own 2 rifles in 6.5-06 and aside from some small custom place in Texas I don't know of anyone offering 6.5-06 commercially loaded ammo for a 6.5-06. So my logic tells me it's handloaded. Got a pic of the ammo box?

This doesn't sound like a very wise practice; loading 6.5-06 bullets into .25-06 cases.

Did you happen to notice where Sako resides?

Stop pissing on his thread. This isn’t accurateshooter. He doesn’t need to justify his ad to you. I’ve known the seller for years; if he said it’s not handloads; it’s not handloads.

This is one of the finest custom winchesters that’s been offered here in the classifieds in a long time. If I didn’t have one in the same chambering made by Mr. Forbes, this would be headed north … and it still may be.

Up for a beautiful rifle.

I'm hoping you do.

Before I buy it and punch it out to 6.5x280 Ackley.
