Clarifying reply? Read all of the posts. SS,all of the years I've been here steve4102 has always been a pessimist. As my granddad used to say "a tiger can't change his stripes". I did read all of the posts in this thread. If this fellow chooses to take a pessimistic view, is straightforward about why, and then makes a post clarifying such - how would you justify the following presumptuous blast?: "You're just a pernicious pessimist who falsely believes quoting the past makes you more informed than the rest of us.Quoting past events only takes remedial reading skills.Being nice to a jackass like yourself doesn't pay dividends so,GFY.LOL ".

If I made a post that stated the obvious, then it wouldn't be presumptuous.
"All that is necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." **Edmund Burke**
"They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety." **Benjamin Franklin**

If I made a post that stated the obvious, then it wouldn't be presumptuous.
But if I did same, it would be considered Pessimistic.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

Can you imagine if President Trump was a pessimist? How about Bob Ubruh, who writes for WND ? How about Jack Posobeic who reports for OANN and now has his own website? How about the Hoft brothers, who own the Gateway Pundit and have written some ground breaking stories? Don't bother to answer because these were rhetorical questions.

Yet, here we are, Trump was sabotaged by his own party and his own administration, maybe if he wasn’t so optimistic and trusting is those that surrounded him, maybe, just maybe, we would have seen Hillary in prison and the swamp drained, maybe. you need to set your personal squabbles aside for the benefit of all of us patriots.
We're all in this together and we need to fight as a cohesive unit.
Just a thought.

If I made a post that stated the obvious, then it wouldn't be presumptuous. That is a huge "IF" - and you can't claim "obvious" for others, for what might be "obvious" to you is highly subjective. However, you might be making something else obvious.

Won’t matter what Ron says or does, the RNC has successfully branded him as a crackpot. Funny - when I first got here Bristoe was a big Ron guy. Barak talked a lot about anarchy - basically as little government as possible (zero). I thought they were crackpots. Now - so much of what we discussed then as "that will never happen so..." has happened and I find myself becoming much more understanding to their POV and agreeing with it. 18 years will change a person and their opinions. funny, bristoe was last on here in april
