Anyone tried KUIU cold weather gloves? What do you think of them?

I have a pair of Expeditions and wasn’t impressed in low temps ,I thought they should have done better considering their price!

they aren't anything great about them besides camo/marketing

there's a give and take with glove design... dexterity vs warmth... and do you want to layer.

the down gloves they make seemed very fragile. which is expected but there's plenty of other options of down gloves on the market.

I have the expeditions as well. For stand hunting, I wasn’t too keen on them. Down is warmer and they they're too bulky to shoot with. I find the down glommet and a liner glove a better fit for me. The expeditions worked great on a couple of late season fishing trips and snowmobiling.

OP if you’re interested in trying a pair of expeditions, shoot me a PM.

I haven't found a glove yet that was warm when standing still, but have found them warm when moving.

Layer.

Good liner with a wool flip top "glitten" or mitten.
If more insulation is needed, a short tube can work clipped to the non dominant mitten.

If more insulation is necessary, the core may need better insulation or a simple vest.

After that,.....

Shoot I just dropped the phone and destroyed the sceen.

I use the merino 210 glove. Its light and my hands still freeze. It’s ok they are just going to have to freeze. Bulky gloves don’t all trigger feel etc. I hunt down to single digits.

It's hard to beat merino wool. My favorite base layers are that.
I can see your point though.

Just a thought, if you go one size up and get a flip top mitten, or have a wife handy with a needle and thread, I think heavy boot socks might work with the right cut .
Use what you have and when you see something worth shooting, the same hand flips the finger top out of the way.

KUIU is a "platinum sponsor" of the Fudd weasels and greenies at Backhuntry Hkunters and Stranglers. You buy anything from KUIU and you're slitting your own throat in the long run, a Biden pet.
Look elsewhere.
