Unfortunately, Subway has replaced most of the Dairy Queen’s and Mom & Pop Restaurants in many of the small farming community’s here in N TX.
They stick them inside the gas station / Convenience Stores.

Its not sitting out all day. It's set into the top of an aluminum freezer case. Some put ice in there too. And they change out the bins once a day and take temps too. Worked at one when i was in college. Food safety people came in to check us all the time.
