I used to wear a straw hat and long sleeve white oxford shirt doing construction work years ago. Got both of them at Walmart. Haven't been able to get a good straw hat or a shirt with sleeves long enough to fit me there in over ten years.

I wear a felt hat in the winter and a palm leaf hat in the summer, not too pretty , it is dunked to cool me. Today is no exception. I wear a ball cap when I work in a tight spot. Never hatless- outside

I like Tilly's and have several breathable buckets and frequently wear a Buff.
But like mentioned above; wish I had started wearing them earlier in life. Had 23 stitches and flap surgery on top Helix of one ear and am currently trying SRT( superficial radiation therapy) on the other to avoid another surgery and skin graft.

LOL! That's some serious coverage.
Even Snake Plixon wouldn't want to mess with that.

Wore a Tilley last week for 4 days out fishing. Worked great.

What I really liked about it was just dipping it in the water and putting it back on to stay cool. And they float.

I like the Mission hats and have 3 of them. One is a baseball type and the other 2 are boonie type wide brim hats. They have a cooling effect when you wet them. I use them for fishing and dunk them in the lake, shake them off and it feels like they were put into chilled water for a while. They all are tan or lite grey in color.

Wide brim hats are best (duh) but they don't do well in high winds or moving boats. I usually wear a ball cap and a microfiber shirt with a hood.

Shelta if I'm on the water. The brim in front doesn't flop in the wind.

Big assed straw hat from the farm store for yard work.

That's my go to for mid summer.
You got some boonies when the earth tones were available. Good looking, quality hats. How long have you used your oldest?
Mine still looks new after years.
My next hat will be made from my camo from that exact pattern. To get anywhere near that weight and ventilation, I'll need to sew a sheer netting on top .
