Little killers!
Always good to see those smiles on your kids' faces, makes me chuckle.

There’s reasons folks leave the farm for the cities.

And the ones I know who did that regret it later in life.

As I posted earlier,
"The ones that lack it, don't want it".

And many leave, some, just ain't got it.
Others learn to regret leaving.

Many people don't grow roots.
They move around as a kid, they move around as an adult.
Jobs are money. Quickly spent.
Houses are just quarters.

But if you live on, work, care for, improve, your land.
Especially if you grew up on it, if generations had lived there,
It's part of you.
Farming isn't a job.
It's life. You eat, sleep, work, worry, sweat and bleed. Right there.
Everyday is different.
Everyday you have a challenge, might learn something new.
There is almost no trade, skill, or knowledge that you won't need or use.

Some, can't handle the challenge.
Some, want glory. Or to be "rich".

Those who stay?
Who stay a bit ahead of being broke?
They ARE rich!

If don't get it, give up. You won't understand.

Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

You’re right but it’s hard to return to what was, once gone from it.
Cherish it while you’ve got it.

It's weird, I've seen them south of the Missouri but we don't have them north of the river here locally.

But, 70 miles west of us we have them north of the lake out where we summer cows.
