Just plain Texas Mesquite is beautiful. Screw Bean has more figure and is prettier, but plain mequite is pretty in its own right. But the main beauty of Mesuite is that it's stabal and if properly cured will last forever.

I did some land clearing west of Fort Worth and came up with some monster Mesquite trunks. I built a rack for them to cure on after peeling the bark off. Less than three weeks later the wood borers had ruined them. Learn something periodically I guess.
