Many “arguments” are simply folks searching for agreement or endorsement of some previously held belief. Folks just don’t want to be wrong or feel that something they have held as true is under attack. Sweet sounding, comforting lies are often welcomed in…..especially if those lies are consistent with some previously held belief. Hard truth, especially if it is conflict with a previously held belief, is only reluctantly let inside. Last edited by TF49; 06/23/21.
