Picked up 200 140gr Trophy Bonded Tips and want to find a good accurate load. Plan on taking this gun and load to Africa next year and would like to use a temp stable powder that gives good blend of accuracy and speed. Have on hand H4350, RL16, Rl17, RL26, H1000, Retumbo and Norma MRP. Have a bunch of imr 7828 as well but hear it is like RL22 as being not very temp stable. So what say u? If I can’t find something that works I got some 160 accubonds and a bunch of 180 Scenars to play with. Just not sure on the performance of the 180 Scenars on game especially Africa plains game up to Eland.
Appreciate any insight fellas! Roy

H4350,rl16or17 will work for yah with a 140g bullet. I'd load up the scenars or accubonds for African game. They're both well documented elk medicine. I get great results with 7828 & 160g bullets. Some say h1000 is good some can't make it shoot. Rl26 looks like the new standard in 7mm rm. 64-67g Imr 7828& the 180 scenar would be my load.

Best 140 gr load I've ever used in my 7 mag was with IMR 4831 and no I don t know if it has any temp stability

I don't shoot 140's anymore in my 7mags.I usually use 150's or 160's.I would try 69.0grs of Reloader 26 and work up if you want.I have gone as high as 70.0grs with 150's,so 69.0grs should be safe with 140's,that's what I settled with with 150's .

H1000 is all you need in the 7mag for 140's or 160's.

I never worried too much about temp stability where I live and hunt. 140ABs/69g RL22 @3200 is a game killing machine.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

I’ve always used 64 grains of IMR 4350 in my 7 mags with 140 grain bullets. I’ve used Partitions, Bear Claws, and Ballistic tips. I’m gonna try some reloader 22 this fall, but the IMR 4350 has worked well in a dozen 7 mags. It hard to change. A friend is bringing another over next week for me to look at. He is getting divorced, needs money. I may have six 7 mags before long.
