Looking for opinions of this scope??? For $149 its tempting, considering it instead of the Leopold Freedom 2-7 or 3-9? Gotta get one real soon!

Had one a few years back. Like looking through a toilet paper roll to my eyes. I think there are better options in that price range. Calling Doug is a great suggestion.

My shooting partner got a couple last year on package rifles. I looked down my nose at them but they have been very good with a lot of rounds down range so far. I decided to get one myself and put it on a 30-06. Good glass with generous eye relief and adjustments that work.

Viper or better. Otherwise it’s over rated cheap sh*t Burris, or nikons

All of them do something better than the 30-06, but none of them do everything as well.

Are you worried about weight? If not, I'd be looking real hard at the Riton in the classifieds right now if I was in the market for a 3-9x40. It looks like a lot of scope for $175. That 30mm tube makes it a little chunky, but the reviews seem really good on them.
Those who must raise their voice to get their point across are generally not intelligent enough to do so in any other way.

I'd rather take a gamble on a scope made in the Philippines, than a Crossfire or Diamondback made in China. I could be wrong on the COO though, so you may want to double check.

I went with the Burris Fullfield E1 3-9×40 Ballitic Plex $189. I never really considered Burris to be honest, cause I had my mind made on a Leopold Freedom, but not available, so I thought Vortex for the money and time, got a new 30-06, getting anxious. I will say I've drug a pair of Burris Binoculars thru H--- for about 15 years and they're ad good as new in function!

IMO the Vortex Crossfire line is more comparable to a cheap Simmons or Tasco for about 3x the price. What you're paying for is the warranty. I've sent several in for repair. The just don't seem to hold up. The quality seems poor, the glass isn't that great, the adjustments are poor, etc. The only good thing about it is the customer service. The Burris on the other hand is a very durable scope, with great glass for the price.

You have to get into the higher levels of the Vortex scopes before they are worth much. The Vipers and Razors are good though.

I’ve got everything from Crossfires to Vipers and have had good luck with all of them. Was in a pretty bad work related accident and trashed several thousand dollars worth of Vortex optics. They replaced them without question, while the insurance company was pinching pennies. They’ve got my business!

Burris FF2 or Droptine, or better yet, a little extra cash for the Freedom.
