I needed a new little tiller engine, and couldn't find what I needed at any local dealers or the main online places so I put in email notifications at a couple of places. Finally got about 4 notifications back from online outboards, each time it was gone before I could checkout. In the end I finally did checkout with a 15hp suzuki, it wouldn't have been my first choice but will have too see how it goes.

Interestingly The only I I could get was electric start, not what I really wanted but with a little motrocycle battery it is pretty nice, no more pulling.

The collection of taxes which are not absolutely required, which do not beyond reasonable doubt contribute to public welfare, is only a species of legalized larceny. Under this Republic the rewards of industry belong to those who earn them. Coolidge

I have a 1962 6hp Merc that still runs - or did 15 years ago when I put it on the rack.... I just might take it to the remote cabin for moose hunting this fall to use on the Grumman 18. Motor is quiet, if the canoe isn't.... smile

Don't worry, the republicans are pushing to increase gas prices to pay for it so people like Jeff Bezos and Warren Buffet don't have to pay taxes.

You will like the Suzuki outboard. Four stroke I assume, quiet, and dependable.

If you think that’s expensive, over the weekend I helped sea trial a boat repowered with new twin 425 Yammys. $100k to buy and rig with a waiting list three years long to get them. That price doesn’t include the boat they are attached to. Good times.

Correct, you can't buy a outboard in south Louisiana, 24 month delivery date on all new orders, no chit, i am not kidding, and all machanics are busy cause everyone is fixing there broke motors.

dad blew his 3 year old evinrude 250 saltwater motor, sent a piston threw the block, waiting for a new block right now, prolly will miss fishing all summer .

That's why there's a lot of used parts for sale. Last year the prices of boating skyrocketed including parts.
