I know there's a bunch of us on here. I just tried out a new gin, and it ranks up there, might be my new favorite. Mythology distillery.

I like a lime wedge in my drink, but I hate fruity gin.

In what ways does this taste different than Bombay or Tanqueray?

Tanqueray tastes citrusy to me. Thas different aftertaste than Bombay. Thats the neat thing about gin is there are so many good ones. I like plain white label Bombay a lot, and I"ll drink Tanqueray or Bombay Sapphire.

I've like Bombay Sapphire when I've had it. Tanqueray Rangpur too.

House gin is Hendricks thou I've been told I have to try The Botanist as a good gin as well.

I once decided I would only drink gin, you know, to cut back, since it's so rank. Then developed a taste for it... Oops, that didn't work any better than whiskey, rum, vodka - just better than tequila.... 😛

Enjoy.

Look for Whyte Ladye by Montgomery Distillery down in Zootown. Hands down my favorite. Tastes like you put a mint leaf in the glass.

I prefer Beefeater. I'll take a look for Mythology.

yeah, I remember you posting you like beefeater. I like that one as well. I prefer a plain, less botanical gin, most of the small distillery craft gins I've tried I really don't like. Like you're drinking the whole damned flower patch.

Micro distillery in Durham NC has a superior navy strength gin that I really like too much - especially in hot weather.

Highly recommend it. If you like Tanqueray you will love this.

Interesting. The only navy strength gin I've tried is Plymouth, and I didn't care for it.

Nappy Head or Beefeater. Fever Tree tonic makes the drink for me.

When I was in Colorado my favorite was from Spirit Hound in Lyons Co. Their Classic is very good.
I'll have to sample the local flavor from Durham , Thanks Crow Rifle!

I usually buy either Tanguaray or Bombay, but bought a bottle of Gordon’s the other day to try.

Won’t buy it again. Too bland.

Killing me. My gin weakness caused me to loose one of the worst M-F jobs I've ever had. LOL

Just going to have to live vicariously through ya'll.

Funny, I much prefer Gordon's to the highly botanical types like Bombay Sapphire. I think Gordon's is like a cheaper Beefeaters - a true London style instead of the Dutch. I did just buy a bottle of Rangpur Lime just to be fair in my judgments, however. Have not opened it yet. Hoping it makes a nice Gin Rickey or Gimlet. If not, I can always drown it with Fever Tree Tonic.

Regular old Beefeater for me. A light touch of fresh lime.

Get you a bottle of cheap tasteless Vodka, or maybe some Everclear type stuff.

I'll send you up a big baggie of juniper berries.

You can experiment with how many to put in the bottle and how long to leave it stew until you find a "gin" you like.

I've got a few more wild and garden plants that are very fragrant too. I can send some of them too if you want a more "botanical" gin than just plain juniper.

Back in the early 70's i found out about Beefeaters gin and never looked back.

It's been many years since i quit drinking any booze but if i started back drinking it would still be Beefeaters Gin.
