Terry Wieland wrote in his column in Handloader magazine about the passing of Bob Hayley. Very well written and has a message for every older reloaded out there. If your don’t subscribe buy it on the newsstand. The history and knowledge this man had is probably gone. It will be missed. If this is already posted somewhere here, sorry.

His passing is worthy of note. A lot of folks who like to shoot the old ones are going to have trouble feeding them now.
What fresh Hell is this?

Just read the article.
There's other people like Bob. I've crossed paths with a precious few. Although their expertise is not always or completely gun related. IMO the real tragic loss is not in the rare and irreplaceable items. Its in the lost knowledge and experience. The old school systems of apprenticeship saw these priceless treasures passed on from master to apprentice over the expanse of time necessary. Now they're simply dieing off with the masters. The best we can hope for today is the careful safe guarding of whatever information was recorded.
