Thanks for posting. Reminds me of an old car a friend had with levers for choke and spark advance and a throttle. Ford Model T or A, I don't remember which.
My mechanical skills are limited to if we’ve got spark & fuel we should have magic.
Nice to see the magic actually happening.
In the old days runnin snowmachines in the mountains vs here in the flatlands meant rejetting for appropriate altitude.
Had a triple carbed sled that kinda sucked doing so, no longer have it.
I'm pretty certain when we sing our anthem and mention the land of the free, the original intent didn't mean cell phones, food stamps and birth control.

good video... he certianly is an apple-cheeked little engineer though...
I am still floored by the statement that it took a committee meeting to figure out how to 3D-print a simplified carburetor... that is why things cost so much these days.. unproductive meetings...
who was the CEO who mandated that all meetings be conducted with everyone standing, so they didn't last for hours?
I thought it was a little amusing that while he, the young mechanical engineer, thought he knew how a carburetor works, it was his hands-on Dad who really schooled him, not the college he went to.
Best part is he still replies to his dad with Yes Sir and No Sir.
The young engineer was surprised that an eight cylinder engine could be run with one carburetor. I'm pretty sure fuel injection has been the standard over the span of his life.
OTOH I was learning about small engine carbs from my father when I was in grade school a long time ago. By the time I was in middle school he had me adjusting the valve lash on the Volkswagen we had.

It can also be run with a single fuel injector. My old VW had CIS(continuous injection system) with one main injector. Electronic fuel injection came out some years later.
That was very enjoyable, thanks. Like gunzo, I “know” how they work. But to see that in slow motion is fascinating. Also enjoyed the joy between the father and son.
