The shorty is sweet. The only version in stock was the with the keymod handguard. Not sure if I’ll ever put it through enough abuse to fail, but I do prefer the M-Lok version.

KeyMod has worked better for me as long as you buy correct accessories built right, they are supposed to have a built in stop and only go on one direction.

Mlock has had 2 of the nuts turn on me ruining the accessory on both and the rail on one but it was a plastic SL hand guard. Don't sweat the KeyMod.

Both are very nice guns.

Exactly. Key mod worked for many years. Some say M-Lok is is better/stronger, but I'm not going to change all of my key mod handguards. The nice thing about Key mod is you can find some damn good deals on them now. I believe my last few handguards purchased were Key mod. This includes my most recent BCM.. Those KMR handguards are pretty sweet:

And BTW, we have very similar tastes. After seeing your light configuration, I figured I try the pressure switch and see if they are better than they used to be.

Just a heads up, did I ever mention I hate pressure switches? Well I do. Went out the other night and the ProTac just didn't seem as bright, figured it was a weak battery. Changed the battery and it still wasn't as useful as my TLR1-HL 1000 Lumen light on another gun. Got home and ordered another TLR1 and pulled the light/pressure pad off my gun and stuck the clicky cap back on it, viola! back to being as bright as I remembered it being. Prowling around on the net, I found this to be a known problem with Streamlight and Surefire switches.

I ordered a different mount and will try the ProTac again but with the clicky cap.
