Middle of nowhere NM trying to find a big buck in a desert unit that is flooded with very low density. I'm screwed.

But I did tailgate burgers over propane grill with cheese. Trying to keep bugs off my phone light going to bed with 83 degree temps. Great times...grin ..

Good luck GW. Sounds like more fun that sitting at home!

I made cheeseburgers on a pan, with all the fixings, and onion rings in the airfryer. Got no complaints, and few leftovers.

Any one use an air fryer for making french fries?? I bought my wife one and we never used it.. My step daughter found it and I saw others made fries in it.. Do you use real potatoes or frozen ones from the market?? I am no cook and my daughter never used one...

I don't make my own fries, but frozen tots, fries, or onion rings come out really good to me. Steak fries, curly fries, and even orange fries. Well, it depends on what's in the bag, but even generic brands come out just fine. I just don't want to deal with a dedicated big daddy fryer with oil, so the airfryer and frozen junk food is good enough for me.

Some of the frozen jalapeno poppers are pretty good too, and I get those frozen taquitos for the kids. And breaded cheese sticks. Have a bag of breaded okra that I'm going to try soon.

Have leftover fries or tots from a restaurant? They come out really good too, in the airfryer. Better than baking in the oven. Last batch I did came out golden brown and crunchy, and better than what was served at the restaurant. You just can't overload the basket. If you have a lot to cook you need to do smaller batches, or dump and mix them up frequently. Spray oil in an aerosol can helps.

Yes, agree, with added baking powder (or just use self rising flour).

Been traveling. Good to be home. Small grouper filet necessitated a surf and turf with some delicious andouille and chile garlic broccolini.

It is. Saving time for when it's time to actually scout, I'll be ready.

Roads, general notes, habitat transitions, big glass glassing points, small glass glassing points, access and washouts and strategy, etc. All the usual stuff. It's a new to me unit...

Me too when my neighbor gives it to us Ill share.

Took her son to emergency room yesterday morning. Turns out he was having a gall bladder attack. Nice people, French Basque. Rest of family was up at sheep ranch so I ran him down there. Sat with him till they took him in.

So mama gave us several of these pies she had in the freezer, bunch of fresh garden vegetables and fresh eggs from their chickens.

Mama is 93 and makes most people 40 years younger look like lazy bums. Families have been neighbors since the 1950's.
