My annoyance with the slip top MTM cases has lead me to using ammo wallets

I must agree with warpig, I have MTM pistol wallets that are over 20 years old, but the slip tops aren't at all secure.

Just those crappy mtm ones you need a rubber band to keep them shut.

I use 3 mil 4x4 zip lock bags. They hold 20 rounds. I keep them in my rifle bag with reloading labels. Much better than boxes. A piece of blue painters tape finishes the package. I just tear a 3 inch piece and cover the opening. https://www.amazon.com/Plymor-Heavy-Plastic-Reclosable-Zipper/dp/B003ZZS4BO

Those look like they address the shortcomings of the mtm case. 15.00 though....ouch.

Thanks for bringing those to my attention, I have never seen them. Seems like a decent option.

I use the MTM belt 20 round cases. The kids are very firm on closing and have never had an issue with one opening by accident. They cater for all case sizes and are very robust. I just keep one in my daypack, and a 8 round sleeve on the butt stock.
Cheers.
