While the Miroku made rifles are good copies of the originals I had to modify an original Lyman sight to fit one of my Brownings. Either the profile of the receiver or the holes were in a slightly different place compared to the original rifles. It was no big deal as light cut in the corner of the aperture arm allowed the sight to fit square and function properly.
I think XS have dropped their wide sight for the 86/71 range. If you are looking at modern peep sights, I’d pick a Williams over the Lyman. They are quite bulky though in case that bothers you.
