Are these worth taking a chance on? They are asking $999.

Reviews are mixed on these. LGS has one. It looks brand new. Has a VX-III 3.5-10x40 with the Boone & Crocket Reticle.

I think it’s from 2011 looking at the serial number. Starts with B11-xxxx.

Bolt is really slick and it looks well built. Has the synthetic stock in stainless steel. I like the chambering in 7MM-08.

They also have a late 80’s Model 70 Featherweight with the Winlite stock in 30-06 for $399.

The Winchester is the better deal. By far.

The stock is worth darn near $399 in good shape.

I’d likely have bought both. 😬

The XWR’s have worked well for me in .308 and .300 Win Mag. They will cut cloverleafs with TTSX, GK, SMK, and BT’s.

I’ve bought a few rifles cheap when the owner thought they would not work. Two “bad” rifles had Leupolds and one had a Zeiss.

Shot them, yep, they were like shotguns.

Check torque on the action screws (should be 45 in/lbs), clean the barrel, quick change of bases, rings, and scope to a Pic rail with a known Nightforce scope and Nightforce steel rings with some good ammo and magically the rifles shot very well.
