Just a preview pic as it hasn’t arrived yet but it’s done. Ordered one of Hank’s full size Canadian Skinner models and was fortunate that he had Westinghouse Micarta for the scales. You guys know I love that stuff. I also asked him to try and preserve as much “bark” as possible, taper the tang and add thin red liners. Guys how awesome is this?

CPM154 stainless steel from Crucible Steel. It was either that or some melted down beer cans…I really can’t remember which it was.
I do the heat treating myself. I don’t send it off for ht. It was hardened and triple tempered, resulting in a hardness of 60.5 Rockwell.
