FWIW,
My .25-06 doesn't get shot a whole lot anymore, but, I'm currently running 85 grain Ballistic Tips for coyotes and groundhogs (not many of those left anymore, due to the coyotes), and 100 grain Partitions for everything else.
Both are very accurate in my A-Bolt II and, as or more importantly, POI is VERY close.
I've shot a few 'yotes with the 85, but think it's a bit "hard" for the purpose (I like to see large holes and, preferably, mushroom clouds where coyotes are concerned, no, I don't save hides). Soooo, I'm gonna give the 90 Blitzking a whirl next go round. It's close enough to 100grains that I'm hoping it retains the same POI characteristics, I think it'll be a bit "softer" per my experience with 100 grain SGK's, and it has a touch more BC than the 85 so it may land a bit faster at a few hundred yards (need to run the numbers on that, have a duplex reticle, so it won't really extend my practical range).
If I weren't concerned about my varmint load having roughly the same POI out to a couple hundred yards as my game load, I'd run 75 V-Max's.
