We know what America First looks like, however, we don't need Trump to pursue it. Whatever. Things are going to be so fuucked up by 2024, I figure it matters not. Baah humbug

If "ardent conservatives" won't support someone whose soundbite bothers them but the policy is right/good - then they're idiots and unworthy of calling themselves intelligent.
And that is the kind of attitude that lets the democrats win an apparently illegal election. If staunch conservatives will vote for Trump - as most did- but don't agree with his rhetoric or style it is only a matter of time before these same people start looking around... Trump does a lot of things well and loves this country- that is without a doubt true.... but he also made lousy choices for his cabinet, over and over, he alienated a portion of his supporters due to his style, his advisors were questionable and lacked the political experience needed to understand their recommendations, and he fought with the republican party and his supporters on capitol hill when he would have been better served to compromise- at least with his own party... all this points out his lack of experience in politics, which is a dark and evil enterprise at the best of times....
The ongoing questions concerning the election might be Trump's biggest contribution to this country. Even if they don't uncover enough corruption for him to be seated in the White House again he has brought sufficient attention to the irregularities in the election that it will be difficult for a party or group to pull these shenanigans again without much more severe scrutiny and consequences....
Never underestimate your ability to overestimate your ability.
Were Trump amenable I’d prefer to see him elsewhere. Maybe Sec. of State. That would make the Chinks twitch.
By Jove, I think you've got it.

This is the truth no matter how you slice it
Agreed, but you don't need Trump to get good policy- there are others who will come forward that will have a better handle on policy and also understand how to get their vision through without throwing the entire country into turmoil...DeSantis would be one but there are several other Republicans who are capable of showing great leadership IMO...

A big part of the issue is not necessarily the "staunch conservative" vote.
It's the ones leaning left, especially on fiscal and patriotic terms, those that are close to the center that don't want to vote for someone who is a Type A+++ personality, that sometimes has a tendency to come off as an azzhole. No matter how good his policy decisions are for the country, they just have a reluctance to vote for that type of person.
If one looks at the population in terms of the bell curve model, the numbers of "ardent or staunch" conservative voters are likely out closer to the thin end of the curve on the "right" than towards the center. The same goes for the "ultra progressive/Communist/ way past Bernie Socialists".
Trump won that group sitting just to the right of center in his first election for sure, and likely pulled some from just left of center of the curve too, due to their desire to have the Country change course economically, if not agreeing with the social agenda of the "Right".
In this most recent Presidential election, who the heck knows what kind of numbers voted and for whom?

Crow hunter: I literally burst out laughing at your posting! As naive and unrealistic as it is - it still struck me as funny! Do YOU really think the "American" press/media would NOT attack ANY Republican President "relentlessly for four years"? If you do believe that then your naivete has reached the ludicrous/absurd level! Sheesh. It would serve you well to pay a bit more attention to what the media/press has been doing for the last 50 years and continues doing to this day (and for sure into the foreseeable future!). Your posting deserves a well earned "double sheesh" so here goes number two SHEESH. Hold into the wind VarmintGuy
JFC you’re a retard if you read my post and got that from it. You need to sit through grade school English again and learn reading comprehension.

Prior to Trump - there wasn't any good policy - save perhaps Rand/Ron Paul at times. DeSantis is there because he's following Trump's policy/thought not the other way around.
Trump for pres, retires after 2 years, Desantis finishes term and can still run 2 more times. That might be enough to fix some of this crap but without a decent congress we will always be screwed.

Republicans ain’t the the balls or the guts to fight this hard.
Give a man a fish and he eats for a day. Give a man a welfare check, a forty ounce malt liquor, a crack pipe, an Obama phone, free health insurance. and some Air Jordan's and he votes Democrat for a lifetime.

Just so you know
You are the laughing stock of this forum. All the way back to Day One
If Trump is on the ticket, it's 2020 all over again. I want him active in the party, but not running for office.
So your believe there would be no election fraud if Trump is not on the ticket?
No I do not believe that, but I believe anyone but Trump would keep a lot of the unhinged resistance on the sideline.
Anyone who threatens the establishment will have the unhinged resistance unleashed on them. The only reason they went after Trump like they did is because he was a legitimate threat to the status quo.
