Someplace there was an old winchester short film featuring open sighted model 79s and 71s hunting deer and moose in canada. Wonderful old technicolor and narrating. Which I could find it

That M71 film was a hoot. What a piece of Americana. I laughed when the fellow, after loading his model 12, threw the empty box on the ground to discard. Different times.

Makes me want to find a model 12 20ga to go with my Winchester 71 and go hunting.
I love the border crossing and the tossing of the shotgun cartridge box. It also seems everyone was extremely hooked on tabacco in that era (gross).
To bad modern companies no longer have media like this. I despise the outdoor channel and cant stomach much of the youtube Mtn OpS type stuff and bro gangs traveling the west helping their "bro" get his critter with the latest gear and packs they buy every 6 months.
I could watch old hunting videos like that all day long.
I lived for many years not to far away from Iron Mountain, MI. Claude Parmalee was well known in the area as a rifle shooting competitor, local dance hall owner, and Winchester salesman. He also was a armed guard at the Winchester plant in Alton, IL during the war years.
