I grew up on Johnny Cash, and I love all his songs, but I never liked his version of “Hurt”. To me Johnny’s songs were always full of life, but in this one he sounds like an old man waiting for the reaper. ( I believe this was after June had died ) For me, nothing nor nobody tops Miss Patsy Cline, and I consider this one of her best.

My Dad was 51 when I was born and when I was a kid he took me everywhere with him, most people mistook me for a grandson but he was proud as hell when he'd say "nope, he's all mine". It was more about the story as told by Stomatador. When I saw my dad alive for the last time he was driving off to work and I was in our garden hoeing some weeds out of the corn. Less than 24 hours later he was gone.
