I recently acquired a Remington Model 7 and I want to replace the factory trigger. I want one capable of adjusting down to 1.5 lb. It looks like my options are Jewell, Rifle Basix, and Triggertech. It is for a wood stocked rifle and I don’t want to have to do a lot of inletting like the Jewell would require. What have you all tried? What do you like and dislike?

I just put one of the Triggertech triggers on one of my 700's.I couldn't see that it was any different in size than the factory trigger.It was the easiest trigger I ever replaced.Setting the pull weight is very simple.I set mine a 2.5lbs and it breaks very consistently,with no creep.I also like the trigger can be adjusted without removing the stock.With my discounts,I got it for $107.00 and shipping was quick unlike other orders I had with them before. https://www.opticsplanet.com/triggertech-remington-700-primary-independence-trigger.html

I vote for Triggertech. As the previous poster mentioned they're very easy to install. I have Jewell, Shilen, Timney and Triggertech. I'll take Triggertech over them all.

I put two trigger tech in my M7 this spring. Very nice triggers.

I’ve put Triggertech Specials (believe those will adjust down the lowest) in 3 Model Sevens on the last year. I’m a fan
Just make sure you buy the model made for the Seven - the 700 won’t fit

Good choice- I just installed 2 Trigger Tech’s in Model 700’s and have others. Timney triggers are on sale at Midway right now, also good triggers.
Heal quickly and don't scar.
