Jus bizness.
Company's worth way more than the settlement amount, with the litigation out of the way.
They could wait years and win, but lose way more $ from the delay in bein able ta sell the business.
Purely economic decision, that will be milked ta death by the ministry of propaganda.

So if a terrorist drives a Chevy into a crowd, killing twenty, the families of the dead can demand millions from Chevrolet? How stupid of Remington. Same idea with a drunk driver

Maybe the entire point of buying the company was so they could establish this precedent. Ding-ding-ding!!!!! We have a WINNER!!! On a shooting that never happened. It's all rigged.

Michelin Valvoline Interstate Gates Motorcraft Bendix + all other parts mfg. in car? Don't forget there's gas in that car. Or my insurance company, should they assume risk? How about the DMV that tested and licensed me? Surely they would be most responsible??

What about loosing all your money because you got addicted to gambling, would you sue the casinos for using slots or the state for their scratch off tickets.

Why? Remington did nothing wrong. Don't capitulate to the enemy.

So if a terrorist drives a Chevy into a crowd, killing twenty, the families of the dead can demand millions from Chevrolet? How stupid of Remington. Change that Chevrolet to AM General/ HumVee, and have the plaintiffs argue the Company had marketing practices that praised the militaristic qualities of their rifles vehicles, potentially in violation of Connecticut law. and the answer might be that the families of the dead could demand millions from HumVee. I'd guess that in the financial situation Remington is in presently, they figure it's cheaper to avoid the court case than it is to just pay. Were they to lose, who knows what the award might be?

Maybe the entire point of buying the company was so they could establish this precedent. Bingo. Soros probably has something to do with it. Reckon we’re well past probably.

I guess when Remington saw George Floyd's heirs get $27 million they had a sudden change of heart! Damn shame.
