Shouldn't suprise anyone. Remember that little thing called COVID? It tanked the economy, it was on it's way up in the fall and continued to recover, regardless of who was in the WH, it was going to climb

The economy is being propped up artificially. That's why the inflation..
Exactly, and it’s unsustainable . The “poverty level” you mentioned is a joke. Ethiopia has starving children. Yeah sure some US kids may go to bed hungry , but starving in the streets...... bs If there's a kid going to bed hungry in this country it's because their parent are lazy dumbphucks. There's a job for everyone who wants one and there's more handouts for those who don't than I'd care to even acknowledge. All they'd have to do is waddle their dumbass to the local DHS office. I think we are all aware. My point was the left, as they typically do, change the meanings of words to suit them. Added (Lazy or using gvt subsidies for crack , meth, cigarettes and PBR....)

Old_Toot is usually right about everything, so I would suggest always be hesitant to criticize him.
Personally, I am a B student, only right 80% of the time, so it is not a good idea for me to criticize anyone... especially Old_Toot.

You are watching the destruction of the USD. Throughout history all fiat collapses...AII.... kinda like socialism, history shows it has never worked. The reason fiat currencies collapse is because of exactly what they are doing now... debasing it with creating it out of thin air. Anyone with two working brain cells can figure out you can't create prosperity or wealth from the printing of money. The hangover is about to hit and some are going to suffer greatly. Right on. Their goal is a one world currency.
It is irrelevant what you think. What matters is the TRUTH.

Remember the expectations were in mid-20s (cuz he was starting so horribly low) so 6.5% is an abject failure.

It missed the 8.5% consensus estimate by 25%. We’re running on a stimulus high, too much cash and too low of interest rates for too long. This isn’t going to end well for anyone. Biden and Janet Yellen are both lying fools. 2022 is going to be a kick in the ball sack. The government is raping us by printing money hand over fist.

It is only an important distinction if people are willing and able to do something about it, which I don't think they are yet. Holocough 2.0 could possibly change that but probably won't.

Good point..... things will get real when the stimi money and enhanced unemployment, rent moratoriums etc.... run out

I read an interesting article that is predicting a huge world wide computer crash as a means for the re-set . Crippling financial institutions, fuel, food etc

He started and chairs the World Economic Forum. Kinda of like Fauci called the pandemic. Extraordinary prognosticators.
@jameslavish
If you work 40 hrs/wk: at 5% inflation and after 5 years, you need a 28% pay raise or to work 44 more hours (*one full extra week* per month+) to make up the difference.
This is inflation

Aren't they still pumping "money" into the economy. This money pump should continue with recent headlines about "infrastructure" and reconciliation. Everyone knows this is unsustainable. I think the elites are busy working the Great Reset solution to the worlds debt. They just need more time to mind meld the worlds population.
The whole industrialized world is pumping money in trying to stimulate. Which simply proves the economy is fake and unsustainable

Agreed, for discussion of economic growth this quarter, how we got tanked is irrelevant. We are coming out of a horrible economic period, it's expected to grow
