Remington 700 LSS in 300 ultra mag Condition is like new 37 rounds thru it Friends dad bought it new and has the brass shot thru it. Was going to take it on a hunt that fell thru and has been sitting since. He thought it was a 300 win till we looked at it. Want to offer a fair price but don’t know a lot about this specific model. No rings or bases

I have the same rifle in a 257weatherby mag purchased it from the original owner a year ago came with leupold bases and 30 mm Leupold rings round count was 26 rounds not a scratch on it. $800. Have been happy with it. Very nice gun. Bet the recoil on the ultra mag is interesting. I have a couple 300 ultra in senderos. I appreciate their weight

I would say 800-1k range. It seems that with all of Remington's problems that their guns are selling for more now. (at least what I have seen)
I may not be smart but I can lift heavy objects
I have a shotgun so I have no need for a 30-06.....

Quick search of GB completed auctions shows five RUM LSS’s sold recently. Three sold between $800 and $1,000. The last two sold at $2,000 each. Who knows…. High condition. With a good factory box and papers will help the sale price.
FWIW, really good photography seems to be especially helpful to increase sale price on GB right now. Two Sako’s that I was watching had really nice pictures, and ended up bringing more than I expected. The one had almost “glamour shot” level photography and brought over $1,800, even though it had been rebarreled.

Had one and sold it on this site a year or so ago. They are generally tack drivers.
I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all. Jack O'Connor

I try to always tell a true story about the rifle and why I'm selling. Give info on how many shots fired, whether it's been hunted, sometimes include pix of groups. Quality photos also diminish the risk that someone might say that you misrepresented the item. On rifles I typically include two full length photos of the rifle. Next I insert photos of the manufacturer and model and chambering. I then include 3 photos each of the top, bottom, left, and right of the rifle. I then take 2 or three different photos of the bolt, and magazine if removable. I take close-ups of any nicks, scratches or imperfections of both the stock and barrel. I finish up with a photo of both the muzzle and the condition of the recoil pad. Sometimes that may be 20+ photos. I've gotten to where I start everything at $.01 and set my auctions for a minimum of 10 days. Gives guys time to get on it and lust sets in. Seems to work for me. ya! GWB

Close friend? If so, average the price of those sold on GB, then offer him 80% of that number. Tell him how you came up with this figure. He wouldn’t net out much more, or maybe less, if he sold it himself. You’ll save shipping, tax and transfer fees. He’ll avoid the hassle and risk of selling it at auction. Win-win situation.
