I figure this is a long shot but here goes. Bought this Hawkeye Compact in 223 a few years ago. Love the rifle but I just prefer a walnut stock over laminate. Anyone interested in a trade? This one has been bedded and the barrel channel opened up to float the barrel. I can get more pics if anyone is interested. It's in great shape, no serious dings.

To be clear, only wanting to swap stocks, not entire rifles.

I wish someone made a synthetic stock for these Ruger Compacts.

I tried a full size short action stock......looks to odd with the stubby 16.5 in. barrel.

I would be interested, but the modifications killed that interest.

I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass. And I'm all out of bubblegum.
