How many here will be fired for refusal of the shot? My relative was told by October they will take shot or be fired. What crazy times were in.

I told my guys there would never be any company mandated policies that would strip them of their right to make personal decisions on what is best for their personal well being, safety or health.

Well the Dutch owe their entire economy to the economic program of the NSDAP so it stands to reason they would promote it.

Tell him to make them fire him so when Trump comes back in he can sue them.

Most clouds have a silver lining, many things have good and bad sides.
No matter how one feels about unions, it's soon time people stand together.
Our founding fathers followed the basic idea.
"We must stand together, or surely we will hang separately."
I am a union worker.
Yesterday a F'tard newer guy looked at me at break time, and said,
"What would you do if Ron (Big Cheese) told us to be vaccinated by Friday or no job?"
He was trying to get me to say I'd do it.
I laughed. "I have a months vacation coming. There are people begging for workers. I can have my Haz-mat back in a few weeks, I'd be job hunting.
But, if you are asking that as a union member, what the hell are you thinking?
If we had all three shifts meet here Friday, and told him to pound sand. That we weren't getting the clot shot, and would show up for work at our times on Monday. And the ball was in his court. There would be no problem."
The Leftists have so much on us it's pathetic. Mission, balls, and unity.
That's all. And everything.
Have been saying for a long time that the working, conservative middle class have all the power. Every dam bit. Not the president, Congress, courts, police.... Hell, we have some of them infiltrated.
We hold the countries left nut in our hands. A bit of the right also. If we would just collectively squeeze, it would puke up the socialists, the deadwood.
If we could get a movement to stay home on Monday. For a month. Not health care, police.... Just service and production people, plumbers and electricians who aren't needed for safety today....
The world would notice. China would crap themselves. Soros would have an "Oh, Fuuddggge" moment.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

Very unlikely that my boss would even ask me to get the jab, but if he did, I'd simply put my own name on a truck, tools and business account.

I was told take it or claim a medical or religious exemption.
I said no thanks. I CAN take it, but I won't. I just took the month of September off to elk hunt and when I come home, I'll go find a new gig. We don't owe a penny on anything....so no rush. I have a pile of licenses and certifications....I look at it as a favor.
Some of my coworkers are in a dark spot over this though.
I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

I won't wish it on anyone. Our folks won't have to take it. Some have, some haven't.
I hope someone forces me off the job. But it will never happen.

This week, we were told be "vaccinated" by 10/18 or we will be let go. Last shot would have to be taken by 10/4 to meet that timeline. First shot much sooner depending on which shot. That leaves very little time to respond and occurs at a time when most of us are teleworking and somewhat isolated. I'm east of the left coast, so the reaction on my side of the state is not happy to say the least. There may well be a lot of vacancies on 10/18. Unless something changes which is highly unlikely my position will be one of them. I'm beginning to look for work elsewhere. I'm in WA state and our wonderful douchebag of a governor Inslee made his edict apply to anyone who does business with the state or even sets foot on state property in the course of their business. He even included volunteers doing work for the state. F him.

Interesting times. I think the vaccine makes sense for most people over 30, but a mandate is pure bull chit. The company I work for put a mandate out for anyone working on site. It’s going to get interesting the next few months.

I had a meeting with the entire Frankenstud Sling Keeper staff yesterday.
I stressed the potential pros and cons of all scenarios and nobody seemed to care one way or another

Your employer is going to require it and here's why:
"Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, my client's employer allowed unvaccinated workers to mingle with my client and he caught the Covid from them and died. This is clear negligence and we therefore demand payment of $1,000,000 to his family. Further, the employer testified that (a) he knew that Covid was a deadly and contagious disease, (b) that he knew that vaccines could eliminate or largely suppress the damage it could cause, (c) that he knew that many other companies were requiring vaccinations, and (d) that many of his family and neighbors had been vaccinated with no ill effects. Therefore this is an 'intentional tort' and we demand triple damages."
It will do no good to quit and find another job because any other company will require it for the same reason.
Don't blame me. I voted for Trump.

My buddy and several of his coworkers walked off the job (a VERY good paying one, at that) today. They got the email yesterday that the shot was required, then another today proclaiming that there would be zero exceptions or reversals in decisions.
Hope those liberal pukes go under. They will definitely be hurting, because all the guys that quit were the technicians who kept the finicky machines running.

@jameslavish
If you work 40 hrs/wk: at 5% inflation and after 5 years, you need a 28% pay raise or to work 44 more hours (*one full extra week* per month+) to make up the difference.
This is inflation
