I’m curious is Meopta discontinuing it’s MEOPRO line now that the OPTIKA line has come out? If so I guess I need to grab a 3-9x40 Z-Plex while I can.

Doug addressed this a short time ago. He has not heard anything and is still receiving orders on the Meopta line. GreggH

I was curious because on Camera Land website some Meopta MEOPRO models say backordered indefinitely.

Meopta told me no but they’re producing other products for the rest of this year Correct. Covid shut them down for a bit and they've got new product they've been wanting to get out and do not have the capacity to build it all so they are concentrating on new line items and selling off existing inventory and then will go back to building everything when things stabilize

I suggest you give Doug a phone call and see what he can do to help you out. He has taken great care of everyone I have sent to him, just pick up the phone and call him. It will probably save you some good $.

Just wanted to add the reply I received from Meopta USA.
The MeoPro series of 1” riflescopes has been discontinued as of this year, replaced by the Optika5 and Optika6 series. The MeoPro binoculars are still being produced for the rest of this year.

100% correct. There is quite a cult following with the MeoPro line and I have easily had 50+ guys asking me where they can find one. Same place I did, Google Search. The Optika5 is a very nice 1-inch optic and I have put the 4-20x44 through a few hundred rounds of .17 pellet rifle, 22LR, and .300 Win with no issues. It's a nice option and as some guys have said, but it's not a MeoPRo, I get it, but if it will work for you, reach out to Doug and let him help you find one.

My issue is the weight of the new Optika line.

My issue is the weight of the new Optika line. I don't exactly love the honking big power change ring either.

The glass on the Optika line may be good , however, I will wait for the Meopro to return or start looking at other line like GPO. GreggH

+1 to GreggH comment. I don't understand why companies decide to replace one of their products when it was arguably one of the best 1" scopes being sold at that price range.
I'll start looking at other lines too.

The bean counters screwed the pooch on the meopros.
You’ll run across them in the classifieds ( for now) in the $350 range.

Glad I got them from Cabelas right before they sold out to Bass Pro. Got some smokin deals with the veteran discount.
