Hey Y’all,

Weird one:

I work for a chemical distributor. One of our clients opened a bag of European made material and found a brand new Fiocchi 12 ga 2 3/4”

The brass says “12 Fiocchi 12 Italy”….

Can’t post the picture right now as my computer is down.

Is there any way to determine if this was made in the US or Italy? The ramifications being who is to blame for the mishap.

I appreciate your feedback!

This is from Wikipedia:
According to a recent interview with Carlo Fiocchi, the head of Fiocchi America, more than 75% of the ammunition sold by Fiocchi in the United States is also manufactured in the United States at Fiocchi America's production facility in Ozark, Missouri.[1] Specifically, Fiocchi America's composition of U.S. ammo manufacturing and sales according to the interview is as follows:

95% of the center-fire rifle ammunition, which accounts for ~15% of Fiocchi’s U.S. sales
75% of center-fire pistol ammunition, which accounts for ~35% of Fiocchi’s U.S. sales
100% of shotshells, which accounts for ~35% of Fiocchi’s U.S. sales
0% of rimfire ammunition, which account for ~15% of Fiocchi’s U.S. sales (along with components).

Don't know if that helps, or not.

If it says “Italy”, likely that’s where it was made.

Just got some US-made 20s yesterday. I’ll look later and see if they say Italy, but I doubt it.

They make good stuff, FWIW.

US-made shells say "Italy." I looked at some of mine.

In Italy, the country is called "Italia"
