Purchased a Tikka T3x 7mm08 and loved the firearm. Unfortunately one day at range using (reloads) to sight in, a loaded shell became lodged in chamber. I attempted to work bolt but it would not budge? I didnt want a loaded round in chamber and opted to use wood post to tap the bolt backwards. The bolt handle bent slightly and ultimately i sheared it off. I took it to local gunsmith who removed shell. Gunsmith told me some how corrosion and pitting was in throat chamber area? He informed me he believed it was a defect from factory in his opinion. This from a gunsmith I never knew or used before. I sent firearm off to beretta, after waiting 2 months i recieve a call from Beretta today, telling me firearm is damaged beyond repair and that the reciever by trigger had a different screw than manufacture? They would replace for a discount of 624.00 but the caliber/rifle is on backorder. I declined. Im done with Beretta. Spend my money elsewhere.

They pulled a similar stunt with a Beretta Xtrema I sent in since the barrel had what appeared to be a crack in the bore. I sent it in and I got it back a month later saying that I must have used ammo in it that scratched the chrome lining. I told them all I used was lead shot and told him to stick the gun where the sun doesn't shine. That was the end of my Beretta shotgun buying. I sold the POS after telling a prospective buyer about it.

Sounds like im up a creek without a paddle. No more tikkas for me. Like the gun, but not the company. Your story reaffirms to me their business practice and not backing their product.

Everyone raves about their Tikkas and yes they seem to mostly function and shoot well and are basically a robot made rifle. Still the quality of materials is questionable. I have dealt with Beretta CS before and they basically told me to pound sand on a new firearm. Beretta sucks. Sad but true.

Maybe a person is just best off spending the coin on an old Mauser or a custom action like maybe a Mausingfield or the Defiance control feed unit. It's disgusting these companies mostly don't value their customers

People love them Tikkas until something goes wrong. Beretta is well known for sucking at customer support. I'd at least burden them with sending the rifle back to me.

I hate your situation and hate that you're in it, but Beretta's customer service, or lack thereof, has been well-documented over the years.

As PaulBarnard said, "People love them Tikkas until something goes wrong."

I wish you the best Exox357.

As do many other hunters and shooters. I know on one hand the number of guys whom only shoot manufactured loads. Most reload. The issues is buy a bolt, not an entire gun. Then lying saying a non spec bolt was found in my trigger guard?

I pounded on my rifle and broke it - you (Beretta) must fix it !!!

Wonder if the Vista Group would replace a M700 bolt handle if you had broke it in the same fashion?

Is the bolt proper damaged, or just the bolt handle? It's easy to source a replacement handle.

Mountain Tactical sells Tikka bolt handles - have someone weld one on for you - problem solved.
