Does anyone know of any companies that make base layers in short lengths? Prefer wool, but open to synthetics, as beggars can’t be choosers. Same question for a decent quality outer shell layer? Camo not required, just an earth tone color.

If not made in short sizes, any quality brands whose large regulars might come cut shorter than others?

After you wash them in hot water, throw your wool base layers in the dryer on the hot cycle. That’ll definitely shorten it.

That works for polypropylene too!

Kuiu's base layer pants are cut short (26-27" inseam) with full length zippers so you can remove them without taking off your boots. I think Sitka and First Lite make similar products. Worst case, you could buy regular sized then cut and hem to length.

First lite also has merino bottoms like said above that are aero light wool and 3/4 length so mite could work. Real easy to resell if you don’t like them since they seem to be trending
