No, wrong bolt face size. At bare minimum, will need a new bolt. I am betting you would need to either do work and/or replace the mag well also.

Somebody could do it but……. I think you’d be better off just buying different rifle.

Ditto. Magazine follower, bolt guide/feed rails, and God knows what else beyond the obvious new bolt and barrel, and the basic issue of the Remington long action versus their short action which was designed around the shorter cartridges like .243. Waaay better off just buying a .243 rifle IMO.

Yep it would cost waymore than it would be worth, plus it probably still would not function 100% even after all of the work.

The feed lips milled into the receiver are made for the larger case, the mag is wrong, the bolt is wrong, the extractor is wrong, and the follower and spring are wrong.
So it's not that you can't .............................. but buying a new rifles in 243 would be a LOT cheaper.

Why would you want a 243 anyway? LOL

Just shoot lighter weight bullets in the 7mag.You can always drop your charge to slow them down if you want. You could shoot a 120gr at around 3000fps with a starting load and the recoil would be rather mild too. https://www.hodgdonreloading.com/reloading-data-center?rdc=true&type=54

Please advise. Thank you That just doesn't sound like a smart Idea to me! Why wouldn't you sell it, if you don't like that round, and buy what you like! .243's are a dime a dozen! JMO

Seems to me you would be a prime candidate for being a Savage owner/gunsmith. Questions like that are discussed all the time over there.

When I was a child I had a story book, TALL TALES of Make Believe. https://www.thriftbooks.com/w/the-t...Lw_wcB#idiq=15486864&edition=4157061There is a story, the VERY MISCHIEF Lee took the Victrola to pieces to make a clock. Elinor took the clock to pieces to make a Victrola. And someone would take a 7mmRM apart to make a 243. While someone else would take a 243 apart to make a 7mmRM.
