I have an 1894 rifle in .32 spl. Has very little finish ( metal or wood) but no rust, and ser. # 2407xx, so an early one. However the barrel has been shorttend (?) by 2 inches. Is it worth saving or use as a donor gun, i.e. pick up a rifle that needs a stock, etc. and make 1 out of 2.?PS it shoots fine. Thanks for any feedback, Rodney

If shoots good, just enjoy it and don't waste your time and money making a Frankenrifle. Making "1 out of 2" sure won't make it worth any more. BTW, what was the original barrel length?

I agree. I'd hunt and shoot the heck out of it. That would be a nice rifle to have.

Sorry it took so long to reply, but life's a bitch (can't tell life from wife?). The barrel is 24" now
