Dumb azz could have had that rifle took away from him, he let the perp get way too close. In Tennessee just showing it to protect property would be a crime, they don't allow brandishment here, only the law gets to do that...

I don't think so. The car driving off as soon as the guy comes out with the rifle is a detail that is a touch of reality. The guy trying to BS his way out of it with the typical "dindonuffin" excuse is also exactly how things would happen in real life.

By the way, the firearm was never pointed at the perp, and the man is on his own property. In some areas, he's totally legal. In some jurisdictions, it wouldn't matter. In others, a jury would never convict the guy, because I can guarantee you at least one person on the jury has had a package stolen off of his porch in the past.

Agree. Looks like the real life hood to me. I like the way he kinda slunk off at a good trot like a dgo with his tail between his legs.

The reason I said it was staged is that even though the people were home, that package was sticking out like a sore thumb, and they "just happened to be" filming the porch even before the car drove up.

A more realistic scenario... the guy would have dropped the box and hauled ass.

Yeah, may be staged, but on the other hand, the home owner may have preemptively mounted cameras all around the house. ????

Ok, staged as in the box was set as bait? I can buy that.

Some homes, (mine) have a doorbell camera that automatically films and records all movement at the door.

That’s where Amazon left it and his ring door bell alerted him to motion so he grabbed his piece beside the door and stepped out.

Even on private property? The homeowner never left the porch and never pointed it at the thief.
