DMc: Have YOU seen the price of new trucks lately?
I used to buy a new 4x4 pick-up truck every two or three years (1967 - 1990) - those days are done and gone.
I am afraid my one owner (me!) ultra-low mileage 1996 Dodge Cummins Diesel 4x4, 5-speed stick, extended cab is going to be my last "new" pickup!

Sold mine 6 weeks ago for a stupid price.

I could have driven my 2020GMC to Alaska this summer and sold it for more than it cost new on the lot.

Kids friends dad just sold an F250 2019 for $12000 more than he paid for it 6 months ago.

He then bought a 2018 Tundra with 25,000 miles on it, exact same trim as my 2020 I bought new, and paid $6,000 more than I did new. That was after an extensive 2 week search within 500 miles.

I've got a 2000 Tundra with 380,000 miles. It's my work truck so I'm using it to rack up miles and keep miles off my 2014 F150. Will keep it till I retire, or I will retire when it does. Smokes a little on startup and having the rack/pinion replaced tomorrow due to steering fluid leaks. Its been a good truck, all I've had to replace timing belt twice, throttle sensor once and thats it except for regular maintenance.

Mine is 2003 quad cab 3500, and yes, I think it is my last "new" pickup, bought in 2005 with 31K on it. Just over 113, now - lotsa life left in it- probably more than in my own driving life. I'll be 73 in a few days - I doubt my driving life will last another 200K miles!.

I heard that all vehicle prices have gone up 43% in the last year alone.

If you have a vehicle you aren't going to replace, now is indeed the time to sell, before the Biden recession with inflation really takes hold. In Dem., speak, a "recovery".

I have a pretty nice 95 F350 4x4 7.3 diesel. Four door cab. There isn’t a month goes by but what someone comments about it. Some ask if it’s for sale. I told the last guy $35,000. He said I was crazy, they aren’t worth that much. I said it is to me.

Got a friend that sold his 2 yr old, 25K mile Dodge gasser for $4000 more than he paid for it. Took it in to the dealer (free oil chgs for so many miles), dealer offered him the money and he took it. He has another truck at home that he can use.

Hoping to sell my 2012 f350 in a couple weeks after I return from a hunting trip. I hope I get stupid money for it. I have a little Dakota to run around in. I have a new bronco on order so maybe I’ll get that by 2024.
