Having a tough time finding help to remove an old Ithaca Lewis model buttstock. Any guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks ahead of time.

That may be a "Flues" model. Try that on You Tube and see if you can find your info.

I still can't get the stock off. I want it off so I can see inside the frame since the gun won't open up completely. I think the hammers are stuck in the fired position. I know that if I can't get the double to work I'll probably have to sell it for parts.

Try contacting these guys: Diamond Gunsmithing
They are Ithaca shotgun specialists.

MIKEL2: I called Diamond gunsmithing Tues- Fri 2pm t0 5pm calling hours and a gentleman walked me thru a way to remove the stock.
It came off and I am now soaking the entire frame hoping to free the hammers. If that doesn't work I don't know if it is worth sending it to them for repair. What I paid for the gun and repair costs would make it an expensive wall hanger. Thanks again for sending their name to me.

Good to hear it worked out. One of these days I need to take them an old Ithaca Deerslayer with extraction problems and get it sorted out.
