California surely didn’t run out of retards or goats.

Why go to Afghanistan?

The back story is AfganiAmericans visiting extended family one last knowing the US was pulling out and they might not see them again. Hope they didnt vote of good ol' Uncle Joe.

If this was a Field trip planned from the School Board that would mean that they got a free trip off of the backs of the tax payers to go visit family in a No Fly Zone for most of us.

It just feels GREAT seeing our tax dollars at work doesn't it.

And Now Biteme will pay even more of our tax dollars to get them out when the Taliban demands payment for their release.
While other more deserving Citizens are left there to fend for them selves and Die.

OK, lets give them the benefit of doubt and say it was legitimate to go and visit relatives.

Why didn’t they get the heck out two weeks ago when it started becoming obvious the Taliban was coming and the place was going to fold like a cheap suite ?
Why didn’t they drop what ever was in their hands and race to the airport ?

What were they thinking ?
Did they trust Biden and general rainbow to pull their bacon out of the fire ?

I’m sorry for their plight, but there comes a time where stupid has consequences.
Make a deal with the Taliban, give us the kids and you can have the parents.

Somebody that's spent a lot of time over there can/will tell me if I'm wrong, but weren't certain parts of Afghanistan like Kabul considered very safe and secure over the past couple years?

I would love to see Afghanistan. Iran too.

But I think those days are behind us unfortunately.

. Common sense would dictate to get out as soon as you heard of the US going to withdraw.

Sounds like an “educational trip”.

Leave there dumb ass there.....stupid goes-stupid stays.....anybody with half a brain wouldn't even want to go.....leave them there and don't allow them to come back if they get a chance....

Probably wanted to see the country one more time before the US withdrew.
