On the other hand when the "Truth" comes out the resulting punishment or lack thereof is most often dependent on Political affiliation, political power and friends, etc. .
Biden was accused, his son Hunter was accused, yet nothing.
Biden is on video bragging about his illegal Quid-Pro-Quo shakedown in Ukraine, yet nothing.
Hunter had a laptop full of enough evidence to put both him and his father away for life, yet nothing.
Hunter lied on form 4473 in order to illegally obtain a firearm. Yet nothing
Hunters wife took the firearm and committed another felony by disposing of it in a Dumpster, yet nothing.
Diane Feinstein had a Chinese spy working for her for over 20 years, yet nothing.
The list of criminal activity, accusation of sexual abuse by politicians on both sides is endless, yet nothing happens to those that are on the right team. Gaetz, DeSantis, MTG, Jim Jordan are not Democrats or Team players, so they now have a huge target on their back.
Anyone with more than two brain cells left to rub together understands this and knows how the system not only protects their own, but punishes those that refuse to play.

This is what they do though. It's assassination through accusation. They run with a story that they know has sketchy details, but they think it will have good political impact for them. Then the media takes off with the story as if it were true. Then through pure repetition, perception becomes reality.
