After everything that has gone down in the last couple of years I have lost faith in municipal cops..... especially any place with a population over 40-50 thousand. Protect and serve? What a joke. More like demand, coerce, and impose.

I know those of us that respect people’s rights have talked about it. It’s the same thing that has happened before with stupid directives. You may not openly defy the directive, but you make it impossible for anyone to follow it. Use policy and bureaucracy to our advantage and grind the machine to a halt. An example in my state is the new laws limiting the use of “military style weapons” and weapons over .50 caliber. Ok, so all the beanbag rounds, pepperball guns, and 40mm impact munitions got locked up and it gets portrayed on the news as “new law bans use of less-lethal alternatives”.

Until they're willing to stop the ones that will go door to door - it's meaningless. Too many are willing to "go after criminals" - so long as the criminal doesn't look like them (wear a uniform/badge)
