Tripod base with 36” rod plus 24” extension rod and Eclipse scope head as seen here ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xLO3AXXw_Xs) Picked it up in a trade. Any idea what it's worth? Thanks, Okie John
If Montana had a standing army, a 270 Win with Federal Blue Box 130's would be the standard issue.

Is it the version sold by Creedmoor Sports? Aluminum or stainless steel rod sections?
Too close for irons, switching to scope...

Not the one sold by Creedmoor but similar if not identical design. Steel rod sections.

That would be the original model then. Not as many high power shooters out there as there used to be, but I would think $250 to $300 would be in the ballpark.

I remember when Ray first put out his scope stand. IIRC, he was selling them for about $180. He made different variations over the years. Stainless 1" rods, 7/8 aluminum rods, straight thread, tapered thread, and numerous refinements over the years of the head. It's good stuff. I have a couple of them.
Problem is that Ray is retired, and sold off his machine equipment thus they are no longer supported.
The current options in the marketplace are the Freeland, the HMC, Gear Buggy, Giraud, Chippewa Foundry and Creedmoor (made by EKL iirc). The prices range from about $150 to somewhere around $400. I used to send folks over to Ray, but since Ray hung it up I'm sending folks over to Holub at HMC at $155. I just spoke to one last week. I'll check if he pulled the trigger yet.
BTW, thanks for posting that video...it's nice to see Ray in there.
