I have a couple S1 and several of the S2’s. Both Japan and Philippine made. They have been solid scopes, but not sure any are made anymore.

The STAC 3-16x42 is a scope I've thought about trying several times. Well designed FFP reticle, zero stop, illumination, not overly large. At some point I'll pick one up just to see.

The long discontinued SI 2.5x32 fixed power scope is one I wish I'd have purchased 4 or 5 of.

Doug, I've been a Sightron customer for a long time. Their Exact Trac tracking system is an updated version of the Weaver Micro Track that was used on the steel tube El Paso-era Weaver target scopes. No 'flat adjusters on a round tube' like so many systems have.

The S-Tac series of scopes are outstanding values in that class of scopes. The S-Tac 4-20X50 I got recently is very, very good. And just last week, I got a SIII 36X45 with ED glass model for a new BR gun I'm finishing up. The optics on it rival my 12-42 Nightforce BR series and the mechanicals seem as solid as a rock. Their SIII Long Range series also delivers the goods....the 8-32X56 particularly so.

Alan Orr at Sightron is a competitive shooter himself so he knows what customers need in a scope. The one time I needed service on a scope was their now discontinued fixed 6X scope specifically made for HBR (Hunter Bench Rest) class. After receiving it, Alan called me and said they were updating the internals based on what they saw and it came back 1 oz. heavier than when I sent it. It was flawless after that.

While I do miss some of their hunting style scopes (especially the Big Sky series) and have several of the SII's in 3-9, 4-16 and 6-24, I think they've made the right decision to stay focused on what they're best at. Diluting the brand with lower quality stuff eventually hurts a brands reputation...no need to look too far in the optics world to see that. If someone wants a lower priced 3-9 hunting scope, the market is already full of choices.

I'm a long time SIII moa-2 fan for target/tactical rifles. Long ago I shot a 600yd BR match and the 10-50 was just barely worse than my 12-42 NF NXS. I sold all my NFs and replaced them with 6-24, 8-32, and 10-50 SIIIs. They give 95% of the performance for 60% of the price. I have at least 10, never had an issue, and one sits on a 50bmg. They used to make a 1-7 that I thought would make a good hunting scope.

IMO, Some of the best overall value in the optics market. I own two scopes and three pair binos.

Good stuff, I have an old 3-12 sii, i've taken it off many times to replace it with something better, it always ends back on. Just put a 4-16ao on a 17hmr

Put me in the camp of never buying 30 mm tubes, high magnification, twisty turrets. Sleek, simple, moderate magnification is what I will buy. If that has to be from the used market because no manufacturers offer it anymore, so be it.

If one doesn't have an aversion to 30mm tubes, the Sightron S-Tac 2-10X32 is a nice optic and not overly bulky/heavy.

I'd rather see you guys offer Trijicon.

I think you'll be happy with the Sightron line. I've rarely heard of trouble with them. I look forward to a dealer with your level of service taking them on.

As others have stated, maybe you can talk them into offering a 2-10x42 or so in a hunter oriented configuration. I'd also go for a nice, svelt 6x with a mil reticle, capped windage and low profile elevation, but I realize that it probably wouldn't be a real hot seller.

We used ton stock Trijicon. Technically we are still an authorized dealer. We stopped working with them due to their blatant lack on interest in consumer customer service. It's an after thought of their military contract business

Sightron scopes are very dependable. That being said, their reticles are garbage. Not sure why their reticles are 15 years behind everyone else. I still own two and no problems. I stretch one to 1000 yards regularly on one of my steel guns.

I have owned/used only one Sightron. It is the discontinued Big Sky II. 3.5-10x.
( Japan) with 40mm objective and 4" of eye relief. It is Big Sky III quality glass on a 1" tube. Crisp clicks, resettable finger-adjustable low turrents, very fine resolution, great tracking, lifetime warranty. I love it.

Agree with an earlier poster, wish they would make the high quality glass ( Big Sky III level) in lower magnifications for general hunting on a 1 inch tube. How about a fixed 4 x, 2-7x, or 3-9x scope with 4" eye relief?

Have 3 Sightron scopes and very pleased with them.

I recall seeing these back when they first started. Never bought one but would consider it. Especially interested in compact and lightweight versions, if available.

Sightron scopes track very very well. Glass is good, my only criticism would be their eye box is a little unforgiving. Not real bad by any means but a little critical for a guy with older eyes. Would be a great addition to your inventory.
